Below is a summary of the Action Points that resulted from this assessment:
- Escape Routes (Table 2) Route 2:From Bar door to field. Amend to “Through double doors to field”. Also a note needs to be made “Connecting door to Hall to be kept unlocked when Hall is in use” amendment the double doors connecting the Hall to the bar do not need to be open unless the bar is in use. However, when the Bar is in use the Patio doors do need to be kept unlocked as this is a Fire Exit.
- Route 6: From Changing Rooms. Push Bar Exit needs to be used, as door from Changing Rooms now kept locked.
- Assembly Point: The Children’s Play Area at the side of the building. This needs to be signed from the Hall and Bar.
- Hazards (Table 3?) Bar: Appliances in Bar Kitchen need to be listed:
Cooker, Glass washer, Fridge, Hotplate, Water Heater (under sink)
- Plant Room: Oil Boiler now kept outside in secure, fenced and padlocked area.
- Main Kitchen: Hazardous chemicals not to be kept under the sink “All cleaning materials to be kept in secure cupboard”. NB especially bleach
- Artistes’ Changing Room : List 3 fans and light strip. NB Gas Cylinder for BBQ must be kept outside, eg in secure fenced area with oil tank.
- Fire Extinguishers last tested July 2022. Roy is following this up.
- Fire Instructions (table 5?) These need to be printed and prominently displayed at Hall entrance and in Bar. Delete line which mentions “public telephone on opposite side of the road”.
- NB This Assessment needs to be carried out annually. The Policy also is supposed to be reviewed annually. The Operating Procedures document (from which this was taken) is also out of date (2016) and needs overhauling.
