Minutes for Felmingham Village Hall Committee Meeting Thursday 8th December 2022 at 7.30
Present: Roy Hindle, Carol Carter, Des Fern, Sarah Smith, Mike Pepperell and Graham Fabb.
Syd Arksey joined the meeting via online link.

● Minutes agreed from previous meeting
Matters arising
● Broadband: Syd chasing. Ordered 18/11 but Syd was advised the order had been lost
in the system. To be installed w/c 9/1/23
● Entrance Hall: Carpet and mat have been replaced, but door mat is “moulting”.
● Action: Shaun Attew to be contacted for possible replacement.
● Norfolk Social Infrastructure Fund Application for new kitchen: Syd has completed
the online application.
However the quote from Homebase that Roy arranged is the only one that we have,
and need 3 quotes in total, Roy also visited a bespoke kitchen company in
Northrepps, and contacted a firm in Cromer with no response, as more quotes
needed for the kitchen, to complete the application.
However, with the deadline due by 5pm on 12th December it was decided by the
committee not to apply at this time.
● Action: Need more quotes for the kitchen, then try the next round of funding.
● Action: Syd will contact the fund via email to explain the delay.
● Action: We also need policies for Equal Opportunities, Child Protection and
Safeguarding.

Water.
● We are still to receive a credit note for £14.50+VAT
Any Other Business
● Lapwing will probably re-new their contract in January.
● Thermostats on Hall radiators need replacing
● Kitchen flooring: Syd to contact Shaun Attew re price
● The 5 year electrical certificate has expired
● Insurance company needs a fire certificate for the complete Hall, including
storerooms.
● More electrical work needed: Action: Roy to contact Steve to organise.
● Query re insurance: Are Trustees covered? Action: Check paperwork
